Privacy policy
FitSpotMe is an iPhone and Apple Watch app for training in the gym. It has no account, no server of its own, no ads and no analytics. What it stores stays on your phone, and while iCloud sync is on, a copy goes to your own iCloud. Sync is on unless you turn it off.
The camera
During a set, the camera picture is read on the phone to find the position of your joints. That's how reps are counted and form is checked. The picture isn't recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
For the replay of your best and worst rep, the app keeps the joint positions only, not any picture.
Progress photos, the 3D body scan and the waist estimate use the camera only when you start them. Progress photos and their depth readings are saved in the app on your phone. The photos go to your iCloud only if you turn on Include progress photos. The depth readings stay on the phone. Photos taken for a waist estimate are deleted once the reading is made. The room scan measures your floor space and keeps only the measurements.
If you check your form from a video, you pick one clip from your library. The app reads that clip on the phone and deletes its copy once it's done.
Apple Health
If you turn it on, FitSpotMe reads your height, weight, waist, date of birth, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep, heart rate during workouts, and workouts from other apps. These set up the room scan, your heart rate zones, the readiness hint and your history. It saves finished sessions to Health as workouts with the energy burned.
Readings from Health never leave your phone. FitSpotMe doesn't sync them to iCloud, never uses them for ads and never sells them. Your height, weight, waist and birth year stay on the phone too when you type them in. You can change access at any time in the Health app.
Heart rate
Heart rate comes from your Apple Watch or a Bluetooth chest strap and is shown during a set. It isn't sent anywhere.
Coach notes and reminders
On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, the short coach notes on your sessions and stats are written on the phone by Apple's on-device model. Reminders are notifications scheduled on the phone. Neither sends anything off it.
Music
FitSpotMe can play a playlist from your Apple Music library and open Spotify. It doesn't read your listening history.
iCloud sync
With iCloud sync on, your sessions, plans, saved workouts and settings are kept in your own iCloud, so another iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account picks them up. Apple holds that copy. FitSpotMe has no server and can't see it.
Progress photos only go to iCloud if you turn on Include progress photos. Health readings and your body measurements never do. You can turn sync off in Settings, under Your data.
Subscription
Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. FitSpotMe only learns whether your subscription is active. It never sees your name, email or card details.
What's sent off your phone
With iCloud sync on, your app data goes to your own iCloud. Apart from that, nothing leaves unless you send it. A shared workout card or an export of your sets goes only where you send it.
This website
This site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when the page loads. The site sets no cookies and has no tracking.
Deleting your data
Settings, then Your data, then Delete all data removes everything FitSpotMe saved on your phone. Deleting the app does the same. Delete all data also turns iCloud sync off. Your iCloud copy stays, and turning sync on again brings it back. You can delete that copy in your iPhone's iCloud storage settings. Workouts saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
Children
FitSpotMe isn't made for children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect anything from them.
